TRANSPORT AND GENERAL ENGINEERING COMPANY LIMITED
Warranty Period
Transport and General Engineering Company Limited (hereinafter called T&G) guarantees new products supplied by them to be free from manufacturing defects. T&G undertakes to repair or replace (at their discretion) any part which is or becomes faulty as a direct result of a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, provided that the faulty product is presented for repair to T&G. Any repairs required to rectify warranty defects are to be carried out by T&G or an appointed authorised service provider. . All service providers must have a T&G purchase order prior to carrying out any work. A warranty is defined as product failure and/or defect, not wear and tear.
The period of this warranty is for 24 months from the date of invoicing from T&G.
T&G reserves the right to reduce the warranty period when a higher utilisation rate occurs, or when the product is being used against manufacturer’s application recommendations.
Applicability
This warranty applies to equipment manufactured by T&G only, I.e. trailer chassis and body. Warranty on associated components other than those manufactured by T&G will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of that manufacturer’s warranty policy, ie axles, suspension, and hydraulic components.
Conditions of Warranty
This warranty will be deemed void in full under the following circumstances:
• Equipment found to be modified without approval by T&G.
• Modifications unauthorised by T&G, or not carried out by authorised T&G service providers.
• Repairs not carried out by authorised T&G service providers, or use of other than genuine replacement parts.
• Equipment found to have been used in an application outside the manufacturer’s application recommendations.
• If a manufacturer GVM is exceeded, warranty deemed void.
• All warranty claims must be lodged directly with T&G in the first instance for approval, and an order number issued. If work is undertaken by a third party prior to approval by T&G then the warranty claim will not be accepted.
Note: Any warranty claim made within a 250km radius of T&G must be returned directly to T&G to be rectified. This warranty does not apply to any faults arising from any cause whatever other than manufacturing defects.
